Guarantee and Conditions Contract

Every puppy at Croaking Toad Shih Tzu is raised in my home and has the best in nutrition and preventative puppy care.   Each puppy is well socialized and prepared mentally for his or her new home.  All puppies come with AKC registration and will be up to date on all necessary vaccinations and worming treatments. 

The puppy, to the best of seller's knowledge, is in good health and free from communicable diseases. The puppy is guaranteed against Parvovirus, Distemper, Leptospirosis, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza and Corona Virus for five days from the date your puppy is delivered.
 

The puppy is guaranteed until 1 year of age against debilitating genetic defects.  This does not cover minor illnesses.  This also does not cover pinched nostrils and hernias, which are a common condition with this breed. Pinched nostrils can cause the puppy to sneeze frequently, snort, wheeze and snore.  A clear discharge is normal and usually stops once the puppy is finished teething.  Pinched nostrils normally open and correct as your puppy matures.  Umbilical hernias, if present, often close as the puppy matures.


The buyer is responsible to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 5 business days of delivery of the puppy.  Failure to comply with this condition renders this contract void.   If the veterinarian finds a debilitating genetic defect you must contact the seller within 5 days of diagnosis and supply contact information for your veterinarian.  If it is positively proven that the puppy has a debilitating genetic defect, the puppy will be replaced with a healthy puppy.   Seller is not responsible of any vet bills, which the buyer may incur.  Shipping is at the expense of the buyer.

The buyer agrees to provide adequate living space that is protected from the elements and healthy for this breed of dog.  The Shih Tzu is a brachycephalic breed and is heat intolerant and needs good ventilation in its housing environment.  The buyer also agrees to feed the puppy a high quality puppy food, and provide proper veterinary care including keeping all immunizations current and providing heartworm preventative. The buyer agrees to have this puppy spayed or neutered.  Failure to comply with these conditions will cause the sellers responsibilities to this contract to be null and void. 

Predictions of adult weight and color are given with the breeder's best knowledge but no guarantee is given to their actual adult size and color.
 
All deposits are non-refundable.  Once the puppy leaves Croaking Toad Shih Tzu there are no refunds for any reason.  In the event that a puppy is to be replaced under this contract, the seller has one year from time of the original purchase to replace the puppy with one of equal value.
